Therapies can be delivered face to face OR online depending on what is most convenient for you. We can also explore a mixture of both if that is more suitable.
Areas of Expertise
I have a special interest in working with individuals who have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
I am qualified in the use of Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) which are both aimed at helping people who experience distressing or traumatic memories. Its use is based on the understanding that difficult life experiences have not been properly stored in the memory. These memories are therefore ‘unprocessed’ or ‘blocked’ which makes them easily triggered, leading them to replay and cause repeated distress.
TF-CBT and EMDR helps these traumatic memories to become processed. Both treatments are most suited for people experiencing PTSD symptoms such as flashbacks, nightmares, avoidance of reminders of the trauma and increased arousal and both treatments are NICE-recommended treatments for PTSD.

Cancellation
I understand that life can get in the way and cancellations cannot always be avoided! The cancellation policy allows for reasonable notice in order not to incur any financial costs.
If sessions are cancelled with more than 24 hours - your fee is fully refunded.
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are non-refundable.
