About Me

Hi, I am Tania!

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, who is devoted to supporting others in their journey to improving their mental health. I have more than 15 years of experience in supporting people with mental health difficulties.

I am a friendly, compassionate person, dedicated to the individuals who share their experiences and challenges with me. I understand that it can be hard, and frankly quite scary to sit with someone you have never met and share with them some of your most difficult experiences. The relationship between a therapist and client has been found to be a strong predictor of how successful therapy can be. I pride myself in being non-judgemental, warm, empathetic and open with my clients and strive to build strong therapeutic relationships with those who I support. I recognise how privileged I am that clients share their feelings and experiences with me, and I genuinely care about people and their journey towards improving their mental wellbeing.

My Background

I completed my doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2011 and have worked within the NHS with adults since this time. I specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and completed a post graduate diploma in 2012. I worked in an Improving Psychological Therapies service from 2011-2017 following which I moved to a specialist Traumatic Stress Service. I returned to the same Improving Psychological Therapies service in 2019 as the Deputy Clinical Lead of the service and am currently working with people with more severe mental health difficulties in secondary care.

I am also trained in the use of Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) which I completed in 2016.
